Waste to Wow: The Trashion Show

Waste to Wow: The Trashion Show was conducted by Anasuya Kale Chhabrani, president of Swacch Association in collaboration with Cindrebay School of Design, Nagpur, AdmAArk Events, Avinya Nirman and Design Private Limited, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDSL), and Let's Transform Academy with the dream of stepping into a world where creativity and environmental consciousness unite by associating individuals who play a significant role in shaping our community. The event emphasized the importance of reducing waste and adopting eco-friendly practices in the fashion and creative industries, as well as at the individual level, to reduce our carbon footprints. The concept of the show was based on the 6 R's: Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Redesign, Renovate, and Recover. With this, "Waste to Wow" aimed to raise awareness about sustainable fashion, a term that's been in trend these days, and ensure that everyone is even more aware of the serious environmental impact of our clothes.

The show served as a powerful platform to blend art, fashion, and social responsibility by presenting awe-inspiring designs created by students and faculty of Cindrebay School of Design, Nagpur, from sustainable waste materials, thereby promoting the concept of fashionable upcycling. Also, aimed to celebrate the city's achievers from diverse backgrounds while promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness. Forty leading influencers of society have also joined us to make the young generation aware that for everything we throw away, there are thousands of new, colorful, and useful things hidden. Each and every person who lined the ramp looked amazing in their magical attire and inspired the audience to bring about a change in society. Moreover, the event offered an exceptional networking opportunity by allowing attendees to connect with other like-minded individuals and professionals from diverse fields. Also inspired change and courage through active participation and paved the way for a healthier, cleaner, and greener Nagpur.

Amidst the mesmerizing glitz and glamour, "Waste to Wow" was more than just a runway spectacle; it was a passionate call for change. It witnessed how innovative designers breathed new life into everyday waste items, inspiring a shift towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future. The show celebrated the beauty of reimagining discarded materials and transforming them into stunning fashion masterpieces. Each outfit told a compelling story of environmental responsibility and showcased the endless potential of creativity in combating the global waste crisis.
